5 Reasons Beta Theta Pi Still Matters After College

For many of us, Beta Theta Pi was an important part of our Denison experience. Whatever your key takeaways from your time at Denison, I think we can all agree on this: Beta Theta Pi’s impact extends far beyond our brief time at the chapter house.

Here are 5 reasons Beta Theta Pi still matters after you graduate, according to your fellow Alumni Brothers.

“Football Weekends when friends and family joined together for some fun and refreshments.” – Robert Walker ’66

“Learning and practicing fraternal lore and loyalty.” – Bruce McNab ’52

“I consider my fraternity experiences at Denison some of my most memorable. I made life-long friendships at the Beta House. It’s too bad that today’s brothers are not able to experience the house living experience we once did. As a Columbus resident, I run into brothers that were with me during my years and we always greet one another with a great smile and warm embrace. The smile reflects the many laughs and unusual events that we encountered during our days at Beta. Those events were never repeated quite the same way after graduation. It was a unique experience in a different time. I wish the best for those at Beta today. If their experience today is as good as mine, they will one day reflect with great pride.” – Rick Kirk ’79

“Our 1964 pledge class still gets together for mini reunions every few years in addition to the regular 5-year reunions.” – Dan Kreer ’68

“I still have phone conversations with Bruce MacNab, my big brother, Dean Owen and John Billingsley, my roommates.” – Ed Weber ’53
