We recently surveyed our alumni members and asked them how their brothers have been by their side during life’s biggest moments. David Melville ’61 said that, after graduation, a group of 1961 Betas embarked on a wedding trip so they could be there for their brothers on the big day.
David said, “The weddings were, Ken Luchs ’61 in Hamilton, Dave Brown ’61 in Pennsylvania, and Tim Masterson in Chicago.”
He added that, later on, he went to John Sjostrom’s ’61 wedding, and then was the best man in Mike Poast’s ’61 wedding.
David has been able to connect with his brothers more recently as well. “I also attended a 50th anniversary party given by Ken Ackerman ’61 in Rehoboth Beach,” he said.
