You’re an extremely loyal donor and have made several hugely generous gifts. Is there a reason why you’ve wanted to give back so generously over the years?
RK: I’ve had great prosperity and it feels good to help out at my college.
Do you still keep in touch with any brothers? Or are there any you’ve lost touch with that you’d like to reconnect with?
RK: I run across Beta brothers all the time. We always have a warm greeting and friendly exchange.
How would your life be different today without Beta Theta Pi?
RK: It’s nice to be successful, but there’s few things more valuable in life than your male friends. The bonds of friendship that we created at Beta are unique.
If you could give one piece of advice to your young brothers today, what would it be?
RK: Learn to enjoy working hard at something productive.
What are you up to these days? Do you have any personal news you’d like to share?
RK: I run a small real estate development business in Columbus. We build in several states east of the Mississippi. I’m fortunate to have a loyal and productive team and exciting projects. I have five children, several hobbies, remain healthy and active. Life is challenging and good. Wouldn’t want it any other way.
