The Hyatt Regency Woodfield, in Schaumburg, Illinois, was the site of the 2000 Beta Convention in October. Over 500 Betas and guests attended sessions from 1:00 p.m. on Thursday until noon on Sunday. On Friday morning, General Secretary Jerry Blesch and members of his staff met with the Alpha Eta and LSCMA convention attendees to discuss appropriate actions to help return the Alpha Eta Chapter to the position as a campus leader. Bob Dold ’60, Misty Shoop ’40, Ralph Scarritt ’41, Bill Edwards ’41 and Dick Lugar ’54 checked in on Saturday morning to represent the LSCMA. Alex Miller ’01 was the Alpha Eta delegate and Matt Schreiner ’03 was a sophomore fellow.
