Beta Theta Pi is the place where we had a lot of firsts. It’s the place where we first ventured out of our hometowns, the first place we bonded to on campus, and the place where we first learned how to be real men. Spring is just around the corner, and with the warmer temperatures now on the rise, it has us thinking about getting back together with Beta Theta Pi brothers.  

The first Beta in my family was my grandfather Walter (Bode) Malloy, Ohio State 1905. My father John R. Malloy II was an Alpha Eta Beta Class of 1937 (his nickname was “Beast”). My brother William M. Malloy is also an Alpha Eta Beta, Class of 1963, as well as a “Wingless Angel.” We were part of

Chris Epley '91, a double-major in English and Spanish at Denison, pursued the study of law after graduation, a path that ultimately led him to his current role as Judge in the Ohio Second District Court of Appeals.
